Encouraging Note for the Week
1st Corinthians 12:20-25
20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
As a program our goal this year is to seek unity and become even more of a family than we ever have been before. We value each and every one of you as you are such an essential part of this body of believers. This program couldn’t be run without YOU and your gifts!! This week we really want to encourage all of you to go watch each other’s games and support all of our teams!! The impact of having a familiar face cheering you on is something that cannot be expressed. Girls, go cheer each other on as much as you can!
High School Players! What a great weekend of volleyball in Kansas City! Lots of close games! JV did a great job making it to the gold bracket! Varsity had some really good competition as well. It was a joy to watch as we continue to grow on and off the court! GREAT JOB LADIES!! We are proud of you!
This weekend Varsity and JV will be traveling to Lincoln for a 1 day tournament. I have attached the schedules for the upcoming weekend but also pay attention (and respond!) to your email concerning communications from your travel parent!

A thank you from the Board regarding the weekend in KC!
It was a good collaborative effort. Lois was so great about the uniforms, and Chris Rotermund has a very organized mind. Angela is always willing to help out, and it seemed like Melanie and Lindsey did a good job. Thankful for our parents. There is no way we can run this program without any of you so thank you for your willingness to serve! We are grateful for you!
Girls, if you didn’t pick up your TeamMate info on Thursday, email Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive your match up.

FUNDRAISING INFORMATION: a note from Robyn Lueders
We all know that the cost of those extra curricular activities for the kiddos can really add up. So, Warriors has some ideas to help. I would like to share with you some fundraising opportunities to help with your Warriors fees. For the volleyball season, we have two fundraising options:
The first one is Hardy coffee. A local coffee roasting company run by a christian couple. Their coffee is used by a local coffee shop called Aromas. Details are still in the works and I’ll have more to share at the parent meeting on August 8th.
The second one is Old Chicago Pizza Pal coupons. Each Pizza Pal coupon sells for $11 and is valid for one large pizza up to $25…which is a great deal! The coupons are good at any Old Chicago in the U.S and have no expiration date. If you want to sell Pizza Pal coupons, I will need a check for the amount of coupons you take (i.e. 5 coupons = $55). Warriors will just hold the check until the fee payment due date (Tuesday September 12th). At that time, when you bring the money for the coupons sold and return any unsold coupons we will return your check. The people purchasing pizza pals should make checks payable to Metro Warriors Homeschool Athletics.
